ABOUT THOMAS
Thomas brings over 20 years of training and Human Resources experience to his role as the Vice President of Culture and Learning at SGEi.
He guides the SGEi team in the creation of cultural programming and learning experiences worldwide and the development of the company’s facilitation team. His areas of expertise, namely the implementation of corporate cultures, human resource systems, and the development and delivery of learning experiences, all enhance the company’s global position as a cutting-edge training and consulting group.
Prior to joining SGEi, Thomas was VP of Learning, Culture, and Recruitment with the Denihan Hospitality Group, where he assisted in the launch of The James and The Surrey. Thomas also helped launch W Hotels as Corporate Director of Training and Brand Standards and was the Regional Director of Culture and Engagement for Highgate Hotels in New York City, as well as holding various Human Resource management roles at The Waldorf Astoria New York and The New York Palace Hotel.
Thomas has consulted on experience management initiatives for clients such as the National Parks Service, Six Flags Theme Parks, Live Nation, Quest Diagnostics, Sol Melia Hotels, the Gramercy Park Hotel, and Falling Rock Resort, the latter earning AAA’s Five-Diamond Award in its first year of operation. Thomas earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Drake University.
